The Art Institute’s Interior Design degree programs utilize industry-related technology, affording the student the opportunity to gain design skills. These skills prepare students for entry-level positions as interior designers or assistant designers with the prospect to work for Registered Interior Designers, Residential Designers, Architects, Contractors or their own interior design business. The Associate of Arts degree program focuses on residential interior design including Kitchen and Bath specialties while the Bachelor of Arts degree program includes both residential and commercial areas of design. These programs are based on two or four academic years. Upon successful completion, the student may be awarded an Associate of Arts or Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design. The career-oriented student will choose these programs as the first step in becoming an NCIDQ certified interior designer.
